The Parish Goals for 2007
Goal One
Director of Youth and Family Ministries
• Oversee all facets of Youth Ministry program
• Establish ministries to and for Families
• Oversee the Small Group Ministries
Goal Two
A Community Guide for Life
• Establish A Community Guide for Life that will incorporate the following Spiritual Disciplines:
1. Prayer
2. Worship
3. Reading of Holy Scripture
4. Evangelism
5. Peace & Justice
6. Stewardship
• Establish a Ministry Team by January 2007 chaired by The Rector
• Create a written Guide to be communicated to the congregation by September 2007
• Report to the Vestry on the progress of such a Guide at the Vestry Retreat 2007
Goal Three
Worship
ASA (Average Sunday Attendance) – 20% increase over the 2006 ASA actual
Goal Four
Establishment of two key Ministry Teams: Evangelism and Planned Giving
• Establish Budget Priorities by January 1, 2007
• Recruit Chairperson of Evangelism Ministry by March 2007
• Recruit Planned Giving Chairperson by June 2007
• Develop annual guideline for Evangelism by August 2007
• Develop annual strategy for Planned Giving by August 2007
• Both Ministries will present goals to the Vestry August 2007
Goal Five
Lay Ministry – Quality and Standards
• Institute a Mutual Ministry Review process of guiding and reviewing of parish ministries against the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Community. This process will be managed by the Leadership Development Ministry (formerly known as the Coaching Ministry) with assistance from other resources from within the parish. The purpose of such a review is to encourage, assist, and fully support the invaluable efforts of our lay leaders and volunteers.
• Establish repeatable methodology for annual establishment of goals, budgets and operating plans, including staffing and succession planning by June of 2007
• The Rector will review Ministries* (Goals and Performance) with the Vestry at least annually.
Goal Six
Christian Formation
• Establish a baseline, during the 2006/07 program year, for attendance figures and participation percentages.
• The Christian Formation Ministry Team will answer the following two questions over the course of 2007:
o How does the congregation measure what is important when it comes to Christian Formation?
o What changes need to be made to existing programs and ministries to improve the overall quality of our Formation offerings in 2008?
• Report findings to the Vestry by August 2007
Goal Seven
The Alleluia Fund – Build My Church
• Empower the parish in responding to God’s call to build the Church by creating new venture capital for mission and ministry.
• Easter initiative of joyful giving – April/May 2007
• Recruit Chairperson and Team immediately
• Develop annual guidelines by January 2007
• Identify mission possibilities that are not presently funded in the Diocese of Ohio, but which, if funded, would assist with:
1. New church development
2. Revitalization of existing congregations
3. Providing faith formation opportunities for children,
youth and college students
• Seven year commitment to the Campaign
