How to become a member of Christ Church Episcopal
If you wish to make Christ Church your spiritual home and become a member of this congregation there a two ways of doing so:
• if you are not baptized, you should receive the sacrament of Holy Baptism and you will be registered as a baptized member of the church; or,
• if you have been baptized in another Christian Church, you should make your desire to be a member of this congregation known to our clergy and you then will be registered and acknowledged as a baptized member of Christ Church. Your former church will be notified and a formal Letter of Transfer requested from them.
Persons who already have been baptized and/or confirmed in the Episcopal Church should request that a Letter of Transfer be issued from their former parish. Upon receipt of such letter, they will be registered as members of Christ Church.

Once you are a member
We welcome you to Christ Church and encourage you to join our community of faith. Many people, when they first join a new church, are somewhat daunted by the sea of unfamiliar faces they encounter each Sunday. Because of this, they quietly slip in and out of each worship service without joining the rich fabric of all that Christ Church can offer. Please don’t let this be you. While Christ Church works hard to introduce our new members to others in the church, there are a few things that new members can do as well:
• consider joining one of the
Adult Education programs that are held on Sunday mornings. These sessions often break into small discussion groups that lend themselves well to learning new names and faces quickly.
• join a Foyer Group. Foyer Groups are comprised of eight to ten persons who meet together at each other’s home for a Sunday brunch or dinner on a scheduled basis. These intimate, small social gatherings, which change yearly, are the ideal way to meet other members —  and maybe make a lifetime friend.
• volunteer for one of Christ Church’s many important Ministries. Church members are deeply involved in so many wonderful activities both inside and outside of our church. Much like the Foyer Groups, church ministries are a great place to meet other members while contributing significantly to both the church and our broader community.
