Who We Are Christ Church is a part of the Episcopal Church in the U.S.A. The Episcopal Church is an autonomous national church which, in turn, is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, a loose confederation of churches around the world that owe their origin to the Church of England and maintain a “communion” with it through the Archbishop of Canterbury, hence the name “Anglican”. The Episcopal Church stands in both Protestant and Catholic traditions. This “middle-way” approach characterizes our views of faith, worship, and organization. We are a diverse church, representing many cultures, races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, and points of view.
