Nursery through 6 Year-olds

Our Children's Formation program begins in our nursery and progresses thorugh the elementary school years.  This year we are introducing Godly Play to our 3 and 4 year olds and to our 5 and 6 year olds.  Godly Play is curriculum that is Montessori based and incorporates both education and spiritual direction.  The hallmark of Godly Play is the "I wonder" questions that encourages the child to recognize her/himself in the story of God's people. Second through Fifth Grade

Our second through fifth grade children are using the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum.  Seasons of the Spirit is a lectionary-based curriculum which covers the texts that are heard during the worship service each Sunday.  Through the lectionary cycle of readings, we are drawn into the story of God's creation of all things; God's calling and forming a people; the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus; and the witness of the Church in the world.  This curriculum provides an organized, holistic exploration of Scripture by linking education and worship with our call to be disciples of Christ.

Note:  We use the same curriculum for our adult bible study class.  Our hope is that families can enter into discussion about the texts that they have heard and further explore God's call within the context of their families.
